Fifty years of filter solutions from Bad Honnef

On 11/12/2022, we are celebrating the company's 50th anniversary. We started out in 1972 selling standard industrial filters. A short time later, we started developing and manufacturing our own solutions such as filter rakes for mechanical treatment of wastewater and other liquids. In 1987, the world's first oil mist separator was developed in our company, which was a true milestone. The concept and the filter technology it used set standards that remain to this day. In 1997, we founded our Chinese joint venture and became the first German company in the city of Quzhou (Zhejaing). In 1990, our Contec Oil Mist Separator received an environmental technology prize.

This brief historical overview shows what our strengths are. It is the Contec innovation potential that we systematically adapt to all business units; to air, gas and liquid filtration; and to fill level technology. Today, we have a modular range of over 2,000 filter products and we develop special solutions for individual customer applications. The fill level technology product area, which has been in our range since 2006, also delivers sophisticated, customer-specific solutions thanks to development cooperation with our international partners.
