Contec oil mist separators COMS (Contec Oil Mist Separators) are used in engines, compressors and compactors with integrated or external lubricating oil systems to prevent oil mist and aerosols from escaping. Oil leaks and oil mist lead to deposits that not only endanger health and pollute the environment, but also increase the temperature at the journal bearings and prevent the lubricants from fulfilling one of their most important tasks: cooling. This can lead to unplanned machine downtime and damage to bearings. The Contec COMS filter system prevents oil leaks, ensures oil-free exhaust air and far exceeds the requirements of all current emission limits.
